2026 Holiday Shipping Deadlines: UPS, FedEx and USPS Cutoffs for Christmas Delivery

Christmas Eve 2026 falls on a Thursday, and the carriers’ last ship dates bunch up in the week before it. Here are the 2026 last days to ship with UPS, FedEx and USPS for delivery by Dec. 24, plus the dates your inventory and kit orders need to reach your 3PL to make them.

How far is your ground lane?

Ground deadlines depend on how many transit days separate your warehouse from your customer. From a Florida warehouse like ours, ground typically reaches the Southeast in 1 to 2 days, the Northeast and Midwest in 2 to 3, Texas and the Mountain states in 3 to 4, and the West Coast in 4 to 5. So a ground order going to Atlanta can ship days later than one going to Los Angeles. If you sell nationwide, plan to the 5-day date, Dec. 17, and use air for anything later.

When your inventory and kits need to reach HyverHub

The carrier date is when the package leaves the dock. Your product has to be received, put away and ready to pick before that. For HyverHub clients:

  • Inventory: received at our Florida warehouse at least one business day before your carrier’s last ship day. For nationwide ground, that’s Wednesday, Dec. 16.
  • Kits and gift boxes: book builds at least five days before the last ship day you’re targeting. For nationwide ground delivery by Christmas Eve, book by Friday, Dec. 11. Big corporate gifting or influencer drops should be booked earlier.
  • Later than that? Air upgrades and rush builds are often possible. Talk to us and we’ll tell you what still works.

A simple holiday planning timeline

  1. Early November: forecast holiday units and send replenishment so it lands before the inbound rush.
  2. Before Thanksgiving (Nov. 26): lock gift and kit designs, packaging and inserts.
  3. By Dec. 11: book kit and gift box builds for ground delivery.
  4. By Dec. 16: last inventory in for nationwide ground orders.
  5. Dec. 17: last day for 5-day ground. Switch your checkout messaging to air options.
  6. Dec. 21 to 23: 3-day, 2-day, then overnight air cutoffs.
